The layout of the image of Taylor Swift and the lexis "little drummer girl" have been purposely aligned to act as an easily readable guide for the viewers of the website. The lexeme "drummer" sits diagonally to the image of Swift holding the guitar. It's axiomatic that the layout of the website on this date was orientated towards music primarily, rather than fashion which demonstrates the different interests particular social groups withhold on certain platforms: for example, the printed versions of GQ are always promoting fashion and celebrity figures and their achievements, whereas it's overt that their websites cover other aspects of what's fashionable- music (not just clothes). The arrangement of the drop-down menus at the top of the website exude the magazine's primary focuses. The drop-down menu titled 'women' coordinates with the image of Swift and the 'little drummer girl' to accentuate that the ultimately male audience of GQ are heterosexual alpha-males with a tendency to view women (especially celebrities) as sex appeals and spectacles of attractiveness. It's arguable that the featuring of music on the first page of the website correlates with the subject of "male suicide" as the music will offer an escapism and means of expression for men suffering with depression and suicidal thoughts, hence why it's presented in the panel of columns alongside the main image of Swift.
