The language used on the cover of a magazine is one of the most crucial assets (alongside the image) which determine the magazine’s political and social stance and the principle subjects which are featured within the magazine. For example, within this magazine, it is fashion. The incentive “those dungarees cost how much?” addresses fashion issues whereby clothes cost a lot of money to buy whilst the people who manufacture the clothes are exploited and paid very little for the garments they produce: instead, TELOS goes against this and promotes buying clothes from charity shops, so good fashion can be bought at lower prices whilst going to a great cause- charities. The nod to health and staying fit “pre-Christmas workouts” intimates that the magazine promotes health and wellbeing alongside fashion; serving as more than a fashion magazine, but also a platform for advice. The lexeme 'exclusive' creates an ultimate incentive for the audience and attracts their attention immediately. The text adjacent to this intimates the most crucial part of the magazine- the interviews and exclusive material regarding the model, Rosie.
