Location Reports (Controlled Studio Environment):

MEDIA LOL.jpg

When I take pictures of Rosie and Jack, I must consider lighting; I have the specific equipment necessary to improve and affect the lighting of my images. For example, I will be utilising softbox studio lights and umbrellas which will omit light and reflect light accordingly, making the image look sharper and more highlighted, this equipment is crucial as in the absence of it, shadows are cast and the image isn’t bright and eye-catching enough to look professional and after all, photography is painting with light. The room will provide me with the correct amount of light (not too much, not too little) and will allow me the room necessary to complete a successful photoshoot. Following this, I will use Photoshop to alter the lighting, shadows and other effects to make the image eligible for my magazine cover and website: eventuating with my images looking equally as professional, sharp, well-lit and flawless. This will ensure that the designing of my magazine covers are successful. This is a necessity as the image on a magazine acts as a mouthpiece which communicates the subject, quality, register, house style and overall tone of the magazine. My aims for the photoshoot are to capture high-quality images of Hannah and Jack which represent an effortless beauty, attractiveness and charisma which will non-linguistically represent the ethos of TELOS. I will warrant that this ethos is echoed throughout my front covers, contents pages and website.
