Why I Chose Hannah:
I am choosing Hannah as my female model for Telos Magazine as she (alike Blay and Jack) has a very natural beauty which when combined with contemporary attire, creates an effortless depiction of current fashions and styles. Her ability to wear the attire chosen for her by me and her ability to carry it off appeals to the 16-25 year-old target audience of TELOS and Hannah will be viewed as modern, trendsetting and elegant; acting as an inspiration for readers and a fashion icon whereby readers mimic similar styles and mirror the outfits featured on the cover of the magazine.
Costume Decisions:
I have reached a decision about clothing: Hannah will wear two outfits which represent two different tones but will equally fit the ethos of the magazine… The golden sequin jacket, black dress and black wedged heels make up the first outfit and the yellow leather jacket, dungarees and pink reebok trainers make up the second outfit. These outfits demonstrate natural beauty and sophistication in slightly different ways: the first outfit is more glamorous and would be associated with a night out whilst the second outfit is more casual and would be associated with garments worn on a day-to-day basis. The yellow jacket corresponds successfully with the yellow back-drop and made the image ‘pop’, achieving a captivating platform whereby the image stands out and attention is drawn to it; enticing TELOS’ target audience to purchase the magazine.
Props' Decisions:
I have reached a decision about props: I have chosen to add a ring to Hannah’s look as it compliments the simplicity of the casual persona I am devising. The silver ring contains an emerald green/light brown stone situated within the centre of it. The green and brown amalgamates to correlate with the colour palette of yellows, light blues and pinks within Hannah’s attire to create a natural pastille-coloured look which conforms to the natural and candid beauty I wish to represent through TELOS.
